Getting my new ipod up and running

I have purchased a new ipod touch and i am in the process of getting it all setup and working. I used to have an itunes account but this was ages ago before it all really took off. My problem is now im on a new computer and do not have itunes installed. I have looked at creating a new account but from the looks of it you are not able to do this on the site and it has to be done via itunes. So next step then was to get itunes downloaded and installed. I clicked the download button at the top of the page to start it and it jumped up to ask about saving the file or running? i was not really sure i asked myself Do I Run Or Save Itunes well i clicked run and what a mistake! my computer went into meltdown on me. I had to do a full re-start and when i finally got back to the page i this time clicked on save and thankfully it worked ok then.
