Surfing ebay in another country causing problems

I often surf the ebay us site for bargains and for stuff i cant find over here. I have taken to trying other countries out to find what i need. I was recently on the french one but i could not find anyway to get ebay france in english so that i could understand it. I can see obviously why it isnt in english to begin with but i foolishly assumed it would be a simple case of clicking a button to translate it all but i am unable to see anything like that on the site anywhere. Even more annyoing is that i have found the item i want and it is not on any other ebay site that i have searched, i emailed the buyer but of course he has emailed me back in french so i have no idea what he is on about! i may end up getting in trouble for this because i dont want to pay till i have the details i need and i don't imagine he will be too happy with me.
